Autorip and autotag are a pair of shell-scripts which automate the ripping and encoding of CDs to MP3. They were written with the idea of disconnected operation in mind:
* CDs can be ripped to WAV files at anytime,
* CDs are identified from FreeDB the next time the machine is connected to the net,
* WAV files are tagged and encoded to MP3 at a later time.

Zoom is a low-overhead graphical and command-line profiler for Linux. A Zoom profile is system-wide, precise down to the instruction level, and captures backtraces. This lets you see exactly what was running, where time was spent, and how that code was called. Drill down into critical code to get detailed performance data. Zoom analyzes and annotates your code with specific tuning advice for many compilers and processors. Share what you find with colleagues or archive it for later review. Zoom saves profiles as a single, self-contained session file that can be emailed or attached to bug reports. Zoom also supports remote network profiling and scripting.

Experimental X Window System implmenetation intended for testing new approaches in graphics windowing environment development, new ways of bitmap/window composition, etc.
The project is stable, although not intended for production use yet. Graphics cards are mostly supported via the VESA interface, without hardware acceleration.
One of the most interresting aspects already working is the new window composition paradigm, featuring full usage of alpha-channel (allowing half-transparent windows, window shadows, etc.).
