Quanta Plus - at its most basic - is a text editor optimised for web development. As well as providing a means to edit code, there are additional features that make the developer's life easier. So, if you're working in XHTML and CSS, or throwing a bit of PHP in as well, Quanta Plus provides tools to help. It important to stress, though, that Quanta Plus is a code editor: it does not have WYSIWYG functionality in the way of Dreamweaver or FrontPage. This is planned for a future release, though.

RTAI jest poszerzeniem możliwości jądra (Linux-a) które zapewnia przetwarzanie w czasie rzeczywistym dla różnych platform i konfiguracji. RTAI to skrót od Real Time Application Interface. Mówiąc dokładniej nie jest to system czasu rzeczywistego jak np. VXworks czy QNX. Jest bazowane na jądrze Linux dostarczając możliwości pełnego wywłaszczenia. Linux cierpi z powodu braku wsparcia dla czasu rzeczywistego. Aby osiągnąc prawidłowe zachowania czasowe (przewidywalne opóźnienia) konieczne jest dokonanie zmian w źródłach jądra np w polityce obslugi i szeregowania przerwań. W ten sposób, można mieć platformę czasu rzeczywistego, z małymi opóźnieniami i wysoce przewidywalnymi wymaganiami, wraz z całym "normalnym" (nie real-time) środowiskiem Linuxowym (dostęp do TCP/IP, systemów wyświetlania i okienkowych, plików i baz danych, itd.) RTAI oferuje te same serwisy co rdzeń jądra Linux, dodając cechy przemysłowego systemu czasu rzeczywistego.
