| Mepis Linux is a live two CD, Debian based distro, with some additional features, which makes it an excellent introduction to Debian. It is also useful as an emergency system. Featuring very ggod automatic hardware configuration, includes also a personal firewall, WiFi support, anti-aliased TrueType fonts, ACPI power management and NTFS partition resizing. The first CD is the main bootable distro, if installed onto your hard drive the second CD offers a wide variety of additional software. Once installed, you may add another software from Debian DEB packages as you wish. |
