ArtistX is a free live GNU/Linux DVD which turns a common computer into a full multimedia production studio.
It is based on Ubuntu GNU/Linux and contains nearly all the available free audio, 2D and 3D graphics, and video software for the GNU/Linux computing platform. It doesn't need to be installed, and boots directly into a running system without touching hard drives. The files produced with ArtistX can be easily stored on USB devices or CD/DVD medium while it is running. OLM: Onebase Linux Management is an advanced package manager used for installing and managing packages. It supports both binary and source installations. In other words all you have to do, to install an app is: olm -b|s mozilla
and olm will handle all dependencies and installation.

Onebase has been built from scratch to support both binary and source based installation of packages seemlessly.(onebase supports both xfree86 and x.org, however x.org is the default..)

It consists of the entire OpenBSD base system (without compiler) plus graphical desktop, an unrepresentative collection of software, automatic hardware detection and support for many graphics cards, sound cards, SCSI and USB devices as well as other peripherals.
BSDanywhere can be used as an educational Unix system, rescue environment or hardware testing platform. It is not necessary to install anything on a hard disk, so your already installed data will be left alone.
