asrecod
Asrecod is a tool which recodes texts between different charsets. It supports 8-bit encodings, Unicode and UTF-8. Asrecod uses text charset-to-unicode mapping tables from unicode.org, so it isn't hard to make it recode from/to a charset you want. Also, this tool can autodetect the encoding of the input text if it is in one of the Slavonic languages and has Cyrillic letters. The homepage is only available in russian right now. |
