| Very precise typographic system creates printable PostScript or PDF output from source text file using special markup language. Source files are platform-independent and may be written in any plain-text editor. Formatting is done by inserting \foocommand{parameter1}{parameter2} directly into text. TeX converts the source file into final file (it's a batch processing, not interactive).
