Binary News Reaper (BNR2) |
http://www.bnr2.org/ |

Very efficient way to download binary attatchments from news servers works with uue and yenc encoding. The Linux version needs some understanding of the system you use, but if you follow the installation routine given on web site, should be easy to use. This seems one of the best programs of it's type for Linux, especially if you want multi-part attachments, as in most cases the process is handled automatically. There is also a good user group at yahoo, and bugs/requests can be reported and corrected/incorporated quickly.
