| Ion |
http://modeemi.cs.tut.fi/~tuomov/ion/ |
0x |
|
Ion is a tiling tabbed window manager designed with keyboard users in mind.
Ion was written as an experiment on a different kind of window management model. It tries to address the navigation problem by dividing the screen into mutually non-overlapping frames that take up the whole screen. Big displays have so much space that this should be convenient and smaller displays couldn't show more than one window at a time anyway. The frame layout is, of course, dynamic and different on each workspace. Given the organised tree based instead of an unorganised coordinate-based frame layout, moving between the frames can be conveniently done from the keyboard. As in PWM, the frames may have multiple clients attached, each indicated with a tab.

CrossJibe’s core product is CrossSync, a systems configuration management platform that lets systems administrators deploy software and manage configuration changes across all of a business's Unix machines and networking devices from a single access point.
Administrators can
Track configuration changes made anywhere across their network,
simultaneously roll out new configurations to multiple servers, and
restart services on any number of servers all at once, even if they are running different operating systems.
A lightweight agent application runs on each of the organization's servers to securely communicate with the CrossSync platform.

| RSBAC - Rule Set Based Access Control. |
http://www.rsbac.org/ |
0x |
|
RSBAC is a Linux kernel patch which provides several powerfull security modules. The functionality of these modules goes way beyond the standard UNIX access control features. So it is not difficult to imagine that RSBAC is going to play an important role in a security related project like the Adamantix project. The features which are important to the Adamantix project are: RSBAC is a real free software project and like many free software projects mostly developed by a single developer, Amon Ott, and many users who file bug reports and new feature requests. Amon runs the project on his own and can thus keep the code consistent and clean, which is exactly what you want for a security related project. The project is not subject to government contract terms or corporate sponsoring terms and therefore decisions can be made purely on technical and practical grounds and do not suffer from politics or conflicts between groups with different interests. The design of the system and the code reflects this.

Panda Antivirus for Linux is an antivirus for Linux servers and desktops. It is an antivirus designed to be managed from the command line or console. To do this, an executable called PAVCL will be used.
The aim of Panda Antivirus for Linux is to scan and disinfect Windows and DOS workstations connected to a Linux server, as well as the Linux server itself.
Panda Antivirus for Linux scans files using both string searches and heuristic methods. The target files of the antivirus are Word documents, Java Applets, ActiveX controls and compressed files (ZIP, RAR, etc.). At the moment, it does not scan the boot sector or the partitions table.
Panda Antivirus for Linux is a freeware version: Panda Software does not offer technical support for this software.

Snack has commands for basic sound handling, such as playback, recording, file and socket I/O. Snack also provides primitives for sound visualization, e.g. waveforms and spectrograms. It was developed mainly to handle digital recordings of speech, but is just as useful for general audio. Snack has also successfully been applied to other one-dimensional signals.
